From city apartment to family haven: Why the Vickerys chose Coppice Meadow for their next chapter

After several happy years in their Victorian apartment in West Putney, Amy and Alexander Vickery were ready to embrace a new chapter. With their growing family and evolving needs, the couple found exactly what they’d been searching for at Elivia Homes’ Coppice Meadow development in Haslemere.

“We bought our first home together in 2020,” said Amy, a 35-year-old geologist. “At the time, it was perfect for just the two of us. We then adopted our whippet in 2021 and welcomed our first daughter in 2023. As we started thinking about Baby #2, we knew we’d outgrown our apartment.”

Amy and Alexander, a 33-year-old engineer, began searching in the Haslemere area in late 2024, initially hoping to find an older property with character. But as the market proved unpredictable and the available homes required significant sacrifices, their perspective began to shift.

“We were open to an older property, but the options either needed too much work or were simply overpriced,” explained Alexander. “With a young family, we just didn’t have the capacity to take on a big renovation.”

In early 2025, they broadened their Rightmove search and stumbled across Coppice Meadow. Though they had other viewings lined up, they decided to visit the Elivia development on a whim. That spontaneous decision turned out to be the one that changed everything.
